pleace teache me inglishi

please teach me english is a movie i recommend to those who want to understand a bit more why koreans are almost (excuse the term) desperate to learn english.

the experiences i've had helping them in particular learn english has been definitely rewarding, you know. i thought that they were... different. i don't know why.... it might be xenophobia. it's opened my mind - i can't exactly explain how - and has given volume to what i define as friendship.

anyways, the movie is sure as heck wacky but not overly done. there's a lot of graphical modifications to give the movie some humoristic spice, and you could tell that director kim sung soo spend quite a lot of money in the production. most of the situations are identifiable, although there are a couple of scenes that don't really happen that often in real life, i.e. those romantic cliché scenes; but in my opinion the movie eventually becomes so fun that you won't even care. it helps describe the korean's obession with english (although with a shade of korean patriotism), more out of what many define as a "necessity", but the movie has romance infused into it as well, so.... a lot of laughs await this movie's viewers so beware.

duration: 1 hr 50 min
language: english and korean (with subtitles)
